Auditions

Auditions for the Twirling Team and featured twirlers take place each April at Purdue. All candidates are asked to perform a 64-count strut routine and a 2 to 2 ½ minute freestyle routine to the music of their choice. Those interested in team twirling also participate in a team twirling audition segment, which includes exchange work, team tricks, and a team routine sequence. Due to the public relations with and visibility of the Purdue twirlers, personal interviews with each candidate are also part of the audition process.

Selections for the team, two solo positions, and the Silver Twins duet position are made upon completion of the audition process and are announced that same day.
